Already hugely successful in their local community in Malta, Airport Impressions are already a most influential band and poised to take their music worldwide. There is a strong possibility you have heard of Airport Impressions outside of Malta. But if you haven’t, it’s time to get on board the airplane. This band encompasses great musicianship, lyrics, passionate and meaningful songs and captivating live performances.
The band began as a duo and after their six month stay in Ireland back in 2005 for band members Errol Sammut and Johann Schembri this journey helped to bring their unique sound of rock infused with Irish folk and country. Consolidating a love for Irish music and sparking a new way of writing songs, this was the real start of where the band are today. After teaming up with bassist Chris Curmi and drummer Steve Farrugia, the bands direction and sound really began to take shape. They have built a formidable fan base and two albums to include “Minutes of A Lifetime” and “Mariette”. The band has had countless radio play and won prestigious awards at the local ‘Bay Music Awards’ being the ‘Best New Comers’ and ‘Best Artists’ choice. They gained International acclaim after securing first place win with their song “Berlin” in the Unsigned Only competition out of Nashville, Tennesee
