The Well-Worn Path è stato registrato nello studio che Seth ha sull'altopiano del Dartmoor, nel Devon, a gennaio 2018, in una breve pausa dal tour con Robert Plant e i Sensational Space Shifters. Un ritorno a un approccio folk-rock classico, organico, senza pretese, che strizza l’occhio a Fairport Convention, Neil Young, Nick Cave e Billy Bragg. Ma con l’immancabile marchio di fabbrica di Seth: piedi che battono a terra, violini stridenti e una voce che decolla.
Seth ha lavorato con l’eccellente produttore Ben Hillier (Elbow, Blur, Depeche Mode, Doves) e una nuova, fantastica band di quattro elementi: il collaboratore di lunga data Ben Nicholls (contrabbasso e basso elettrico), e le new entry Kit Hawes (chitarra elettrica e acustica), Evan Jenkins (batteria) e una delle voci femminili più raffinate, Kathryn Roberts (cognata di Seth), che dà un tocco di soavità ai cori.

‘The Well Worn Path’ è anticipato da tre singoli, il terzo dei quali ‘Drink Til I’m Dry’, in uscita il 19 ottobre

“Robert contacted me out of the blue to play on his latest album “Carry Fire” and then, asked me to join his band The Sensational Space Shifters. Even better, he invited me do the solo opening slots at mega gigs all over the world too,“ comments Seth. ”I love playing with Robert. He is such a gracious man and still regarded as the best rock singer in the world. It’s a dream come true to play next to him and his incredible world-class musicians.But my heart lies truly in my own music and this is what I will always return to - and have tried to capture on The Well Worn Path.”
