Now Music is serving some serious throwbacks with NOW 100 Hits Forgotten 90s

What was the best thing about the 90s? Was it when Nokia had our thumbs addicted to the original phone game Snake? Perhaps it was the moment we welcomed a small boy wizard called Harry Potter into our lives, or maybe it was the release of Trainspotting with Underworld’s iconic anthem Born Slippy that had every twenty something raving into the night, or was it simply that Geri Halliwell Brit Awards dress?

Music played an integral role in 90s popular culture, with the battle of boy vs girl bands as they reached record-breaking fame, the breakthrough of Britpop with its serious debates about whether Blur or Oasis were better and the ultimate power ballads from the likes of Whitney and Sinead O’Connor. From cassette tapes to CDs, NOW Music has been there through it all, as the 90s saw the way we listen to music change dramatically.

From NOW 17 released in April 1990 with Erasure, Paula Abdul and Tina Turner right through to NOW 44 released in November 1999 which introduced us to future Pop Princess Britney Spears to dynamic dance outfit Eiffel 65. Even into 2019, that 90s influence has continued and has seen some of the biggest 90s popstars, including the Spice Girls, New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys, hit the road again in the most anticipated comeback tours.

Although we might prefer to forget our World Cup Italia ’90 knockout and those Combat trousers, NOW is back with NOW 100 Hits Forgotten 90s, a celebration of girl power, rave culture and a few gems that you may have forgotten. With five discs packed full of nostalgic tracks, including Rollercoaster by B*Witched, OMC’s How Bizarre and the huge hit I Want You Back by *NSYNC, from the brand that has seen it all and been the soundtrack to so many iconic eras, who better than NOW Music to have you singing and dancing to the ultimate 90s throwbacks.

NOW 100 Hits Forgotten 90s are available in physical and digital format and on the NOW app.
