Back in the UK by popular demand ‘Queen Extravaganza’ was one of last year’s fastest selling theatre tours. Queen fans will be thrilled to learn that there will be another chance to hear all their favourite Queen songs performed live, when the official tribute band created by Roger Taylor and Brian May, return to the UK for another series of shows this year. They will celebrate the UK’s biggest selling album of all time ‘Queen Greatest Hits’ released in 1981 which sold over 6.1 million copies in Britain alone.

These new 2018 dates follow the band’s 2015 and 2016 sold out UK tours which celebrated the 40th anniversary of Queen’s iconic album, ‘A Night At The Opera’. The tour culminated with a headlining show at the legendary Hammersmith Apollo in London, a venue played many times by Queen themselves in the 1970s.

‘Queen Extravaganza’ – described by the legendary Roger Taylor himself as ‘A rock celebration in the Royal tradition’ and designed to enable new fans and old to celebrate the music of Queen - will play 17 shows across the UK from October 2018. The tour starts in Edinburgh with the grand finale in London on November 22.

‘Queen Extravaganza’ Tour 2018 promises to deliver all the greatest hits any Queen fan could want to hear – “We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions’, ‘Another One Bites the Dust’, ‘Killer Queen’ , ‘Somebody to Love’, ‘Fat Bottomed Girls’, ‘Bicycle Race’, ‘You’re My Best Friend’, ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’, ‘Now I’m Here’, ‘Play The Game’, ‘Seven Seas of Rhye’, ‘Body Language’, ‘Save Me’, ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’, ‘Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy’, ‘I Want to Break Free’, ‘Radio GaGa’, ‘Under Pressure’…all will be presented 100% live by some of today’s finest musicians hand picked by Roger Taylor and Brian May themselves. (This year’s full band line up still to be announced).

On announcing the dates, Brian May says: “Queen aficionados !!! This may be your only chance to see ALL of Queen’s Greatest hits performed immaculately – LIVE !!”.

“These guys are incredibly talented, with their scintillatingly perfect recreation of our songs” says Roger Taylor

The band are formed of a regular, rolling line up of musicians. The show is produced by Roger Taylor and designed by long time Queen creative team, Ric Lipson from Stufish and lighting designer Rob Sinclair.

Now headed for their sixth visit to the UK, the ‘QuEx’ as they are known by their avid fans, have already played over 160 dates across the world and made appearances on TV shows such as American Idol where the performance was seen by over 20 million people.
