Bjorn Again are undoubtedly the world’s best ABBA tribute show. Opening with Tiger to a packed house at Crown in Melbourne, it is clear to see why they have sustained longevity in such a fierce industry.

As the only ABBA endorsed show, Bjorn Again have captivated audiences for over 20 years and have played in more than 100 countries. John Tyrell and Rod Stephen created Björn Again in 1988 in Melbourne.

What started out as a bit of fun snowballed into a household name worldwide - but what really blew us away was the support we got from ABBA themselves," explains Bjorn Again founder John Tyrrell.

Bjorn Again’s performance was polished and the spectacular costumes took me back to the 70’s. The band built up an incredible rapport with the audience and were in perfect sync the entire show. Clearly they are comfortable on stage and with each other as a group.

Highlight of the night was Benny and Bjorn’s rendition of Bon Jovi’s Livin’ On A Prayer. It was here that they demonstrated their range as musicians. As a long-time Bon Jovi fan, It was a pleasant surprise yet some of the audience looked confused whilst the rest of us sung along with the band.

On the set list were all of ABBA’s biggest hits including SOS, Honey Honey, Take a Chance On Me, Knowing Me Knowing You and Super Trouper. Bjorn Again’s interaction with the audience and playful banter made for an enjoyable evening.

The show closed with an encore performance of Waterloo and Dancing Queen. However, as the audience clearly wanted more, Bjorn Again obliged with Thank You for the Music to an ecstatic audience.

A memorable evening filled with great music and stellar performances by all. Highly recommended for ABBA fans.
