On Tuesday night we headed down to Victoria House Basement for the launch party of the Sony Xperia Z handset as well as an exclusive performance from Electro House/Pop artist Madeon.
The Sony Xperia Z has media capabilities, a wide angle camera, mini HDMI port plus its waterproof, so Sony ensured the launch party matched the coolness of their latest product, with a buzzing crowd, luminous cocktails, a ballpit and a musical delight!
Starting off with the surprise of the night - hinted at by our invites 'Watching Paint Dry Just Got More Interesting' - were two robotic arms that 'danced' along to the music whilst pouring cans of different coloured paint all over glowing white boxes which were stacked in the shape of a pyramid.
Once the technological spectacle was over, it was time for Madeon to take to the stage for his exclusive performance. Having experienced more success by the age of 18 than many artists could achieve in their entire musical career, Madeon shows talent that cannot be taught. With his YouTube hit 'Pop Culture' at just under 17.5 million views, Madeon has become a powerful force in Electro House/Pop music.
His performance on the night was electric despite the sound cutting out twice at the beginning of his set, he maintained his professionalism which mixed with his natural talent has no doubt made him the young music titan he is today!
