Dog Is Dead release their latest single from their debut album ‘All Our Favourite Stories’ on 25th March.
Dog Is Dead is the latest in a succession of young indie rock bands breaking the mainstream. Gaining success in 2012 performing many festivals and gaining praise from the Radio 1 B-list and have recently supports Two Door Cinema Club on their European tour.
The song opens with the airy guitar and kicks in slowly like most other indie tracks around today and continues in similar fashion. Echoing vocals come in and the entire song settles into a nice chill with the drums stiffing up. The chorus arrives with the theme of ‘doing the right thing’ ringing clearly throughout and the song continues with relevant doses of ‘woahs’ for the rest of the track. Overall its nothing ground-breaking but it’s nice to listen to and it’s just keeping up with the changing trends of modern indie rock.
Overall it’s just another effort to fit into the rest of the scene which rarely changes however they are still good to listen to and I expect bigger things to come.
