Fresh faced Suffolk female singer Hannah Scott emerges with her debut EP Still Static on Casa Music.
The genre of female chilled popstar is one of the toughest one to crack in music yet Hannah Scott might be onto something here. Prefecting the classic go-to combination for every female singer of simple yet effective melodies, sweet sounding vocal and an overall pleasing sound Scott creates an EP worthy of success.
Moving through the 4 track EP you get treated to a selection of tracks that rarely change, which could be seen as a bad thing or a good thing but that’s the listeners prerogative. Chirpy rural vocals touch upon sharp subjects in a nice chilled sound, accompanied by the relaxed sound usually acoustic guitar or piano the record makes a good starting point for the fledgling pop-folk star. Overall the tracks are very radio friendly. The title track Still Static by far being the best.
A bit more variation would be preferred but for a starting EP it’s a good effort.
