Wishbone Ash - Live In Geneva 1995 - Printable version
The year was 1995, the day was April 6th, the location was Geneva in Switzerland. And Andy Powell decided to celebrate Wishbone Ash 25th Anniversary as a touring and recording band with an appearance at The Rock Heroes Festival.

This much sought after live affair – recorded on a 48-track digital mobile – had been out of print for the past decade but is now available thanks to Angel Air. Better still, it is enhanced and includes a film clip of opening track ‘The King Will Come’.

There isn’t much left to say about the iconic band that hasn’t been said already. Wishbone Ash have been going since the 1970’s, and despite revolving line-ups they sound as brilliant as ever. The line-up at ‘The Rock Heroes Festival’ (and consequently on this album) featured Andy Powell (guitar / vocals), Roger Filgate (guitar / lap steel / vocals), Tony Kishman (bass / vocals) and Mike Sturgis (drums).

The CD boasts eleven tracks and – as already mentioned – the sound quality is amongst the finest imaginable, with each instrument as well as the voices ringing through crystal clear. Even if you didn’t experience the concert in the flesh, ‘Live In Geneva 95’ transmits the entire experience to near perfection, while the famous dual harmony guitar sound is masterfully captured on this recording.
The tracks are a good mixture of golden Wishbone classics, as well as some later material. In addition, a dynamic medley is thrown in for further excitement.

If melodic, guitar driven rock is your thing, then this CD (including an informative booklet) is for you!
