With this show being the last on Kyla La Grange’s recent tour of the UK, she and her backing band, did not disappoint a crowd which at times was beyond eccentric!
Kyla’s set list included many fan favourites from her album ‘Ashes’, in a performance that lasted a little under an hour. The young Watford singer received the biggest cheers of the night for her more recognisable songs ‘Been Better’ and ‘Vampire Smile’. Both performed valiantly and enthusiastically in tandem with the supporting band.
Vampire Smile is a fairly dark song in terms of the lyrics but lively in comparison to the rest of the album. The live version was certainly more animated then the album version!
Despite seeming modest and shy when talking to the crowd in between songs, she was full of energy and confidence whilst performing. The glasses of whisky that she confessed to having before the show probably helped!
Its easy to see what all the fuss is about with Kyla La Grange and it’s easy to see why she is being compared to artists like Florence and the Machine…..
