Kites - This Jumped Up Boy In Livery - Printable version
The vocals from lead singer (Matthew) are very composed and are a cross between those of Robert Smith (The Cure) and Jarvis Cocker (Pulp), 2 musical greats within the indie/rock music business. The complimenting guitar throughout works wonders as an additional layer to the vocals. The drumming is very consistent throughout in speed and volume (fairly mellow tone), thus allowing the vocals to flourish.

Despite being fairly new, Kites have already provided support to well established bands such as: Mystery Jets, Bloc Party and The Maccabees.

In addition to ‘This Jumped Up Boy In Livery’, Kites provide 2 very good backing tracks: History and Art Tastes Better Blind. Both are more than worth a listen…..
