The Coronas

Dreaming Again is the second single from Ireland’s platinum selling The Coronas, and dubbed a delicious slice of indie/pop. However, there’s also more than a hint of the American south here and in particular Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

The influence is most obvious in the intro, though clearly detectable all the way through in the riffs and rhythms too. Even Danny O’Reilly’s brogue can’t totally dispel images of the man from Gainesville, Florida. Having said all that it’s still a very catchy song which is bound to go down well live.
