After a fairly long hiatus, lasting 2 and a half years, Bloc Party returned to action earlier in the summer with a few warm up shows around the UK before embarking on a European festival tour.
Octopus, shows glimpses of their earliest stuff from debut album ‘Silent Alarm’ which was and still is very well received. Octopus is fast from the word go with and is heavily influenced by the guitar and bass of Lissack (Russell) and Moakes (Gordon).
Octopus is extremely catchy throughout and will no doubt be out of place in a live setting which Bloc Party fans will tell you is one of the most adrenaline rushing experiences in their lives. I for one have had that occasion numerously!
With Bloc Party releasing an album trailer for the Four a while ago, there is certainly a lot of excitement following the successful release of Octopus....
