Having topped MTV’s Brand New list and forming an integral part of the BBC Sound of 2011, in their short existence, it’s fair to say the Nashville based Mona have caused a few ripples in our musical pond.

Originally from Dayton, Ohio and now settled in Nashville Tennessee ‘Music City’ the four-piece have three singles under their belt and are about to unleash their self titled and self produced debut long player on May 16th.

With a voice half way between Bruce Springsteen and Axl Rose Music-News.com grabbed some time with frontman Nick Brown prior to their London Garage performance to talk about hating indie, hanging with Jack Nicholson and find out how being raised in an Ohio church has led him to sing rock n roll with one of the most hyped bands of the year.
