Delivered in a charming handmade card sleeve adorned with decorative stamps and meticulously hand written titles, it was quite refreshing to find such a professionally crafted collection of songs nestled within the DIY packaging. Solvor has you in her spell for the very first notes of “Pocket Full Of Memories” with softly played piano and twinkling xylophone, it flourishes and opens like a flower during the chorus as Solvor washes her delicate, soft voice over the jangling, euphoric melody like a breath of fresh air.

“Hope” is darker in comparison, though still uses the twinkling piano and melodic acoustics to full effect whereas “Final Hour” is our first introduction to Solvor with full percussion, operatic harmonies and slide guitar, a truly phenomenal mix of textures and sounds that still blend harmoniously with Solvor’s ever so slightly haunting air.

A charming and thoroughly lifting selection of songs from a very talented Nordic songstress who really does have no other way to go but up!
