Modey Lemon

For some reason the phrase 'Motorhead in drag' comes to mind! Where do I go from here?

'Crows' is the single release from Modey Lemon and their forthcoming album 'Thunder and Lightning' (a title of an old Thin Lizzy album which endears me to the Lemon) and it's a cracker everyone.

Starting with a 20 second instrumental ramshackle build up of distorted guitar and Keith Moon drumming, you're then hit like a shot of speed in the veins as Phil Boyd moans 'crows', droning through the speakers with a great guitar and bass riff reminding me (and I go back to my mental image) of Motorhead but sexy somehow. It races at top speed taking you for a whirlwind ride, like being at the back of a motorbike with Valentino Rossi at the helm; you don't know the journey's end but your on a winner all the way. Hit's the brakes at 2mins 47 secs and leaves you gasping.
