Tyler Edwards says he deals with the best and worst that life has to throw at us by writing music, and there is a certain world weariness here, even for someone relatively young. Opening Head For The Coast begins with the reflective line "it's better that they miss you when you're gone, some of us hang around too long". Despite this slightly maudlin tone, the acoustic strum and Celtic fiddle give the song an upbeat feel.

Much of this mini-album is of the same well crafted school of songwriting. Down is terrific, with a return for that Celtic tinged fiddle, while Calling Me opens with Edwards sounding like the whistle of one of those trains from a Western. Too Young For Love has a fragility that returns us to that sense of introspection. Sometimes these singers make us feel they are sharing a therapy session on record and Edwards says the title track is a reflection of feelings he had on the morning of his 25th birthday.

Edwards began his career six years ago with South Carolina rock band, I Anthem. After releasing two EP's and one album, the band had moderate success, now he's looking to surpass that with this impressive collection.
