Last weekend saw the incredible music event, Liverpool Sound City take place. Now in its seventh year, it did not disappoint as music lovers took to the streets for a kind of musical pub crawl!

In total, a staggering 350 acts played over three days across 25 different venues, so there was more than enough to see and hear. A special mention must be given to the venues themselves as they ranged from a rundown old factory to an old car garage and then to an old Anglican cathedral.

The constant change of scenery added to the excitement of the day as we went from act to act, using our very useful Sound City phone app - it made festival life a lot easier! The atmosphere was electric as we explored Seel Street, Parr Street and Wolstenholme Square where most the action took place.

The line-up this year was outstanding with something for just about everyone. Some of the stand-out acts on the line-up included Irish rockers Kodaline, The Kooks, Clean Bandit, Jungle, The Tea Street Band and Jagwar Ma. Well-known acts or not, there was an abundance of talent running throughout the entire festival.

One of the acts we were keen to catch was mysterious band Jungle and we were lucky enough to join them during their soundcheck. They performed their successful tracks 'Busy Earnin' and 'Heat' ahead of their set on the JD Sports stage later that night. We grabbed band members T & J for a quick chat which you can check out here.

We made sure to catch some of the smaller acts on the day including Korean rock band Asian Chairshot at Kazimier Gardens and Lovepark on the XFM stage at East Village Arts Club. Liverpool-based trio All We Are, who have quite a buzz around them at the moment despite only having two singles to their name, were also on this year's Sound City line-up. They performed at Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral and did a great job of filling the vast space with their magnificient sound.

We have to say, Sound City we're already looking forward to next year!
