Chris Brown is glad he finally got everything “all worked out” in court over the custody of his daughter Royalty.

The 26-year-old Look At Me Now singer has been attempting to create a workable agreement with Nia Guzman, the mother of their 16-month-old child, for several months now.

GossipCop reports the parents finally agreed on a custody settlement Monday 18 September (15) and Chris gushed over the legal matter on Twitter.

“Court went great today. Glad this all worked out,” he tweeted.

According to GossipCop, a judge still needs to approve the settlement agreement before it is officially put into place, but it is expected to be fully resolved soon.

The outlet claims both Chris and Nia have decided they will share joint physical and legal custody of baby Royalty. This means Royalty will stay at Chris’ house 12 days of every month. Initially Nia requested his visitation with the little girl be supervised, but she eventually dropped the pursuit.

Chris has been ordered to provide Nia with $2,500 per month in child support and he must also pay for all education, health insurance and nanny fees. In addition to this, Chris agreed to fork over the $15,000 in back child support he owes to Nia.

The most significant outcome from this week’s agreement is that Royalty will adopt Chris’ surname. The child will now be referred to as Royalty Brown, as she has no middle name.

Chris has had numerous legal problems in the past and he even spent time in jail.

But becoming a father has changed his life and the star previously spoke about how parenthood altered his perspective for good.

“There comes a time when people kind of have to grow up and become more of an adult and take on different responsibilities,” he explained during an On Air with Ryan Seacrest interview in June (15). “I think this was just a blessing in disguise with my daughter because I get a chance to look at her and teach her the right path and also be a father in my daughter’s life. Just to see a smile on her face—just to see the littlest things—is emotional for me, so I just love that aspect of being able to be a father now.”
