Adele will get her own TV show to celebrate her new album, according to reports.
The British singer is usually known for avoiding the limelight, but she's gearing up to release an as-yet-untitled new record, her first since 2011's 21.
Now insiders claim she wants an hour-long programme on the BBC to mark the occasion. While most stars discuss new projects as part of a guest appearance on a talk show, it's not thought to be an option for Adele.
“Adele is simply too big just to be part of a green room of guests on a chat show," a source told Britain's The Sun newspaper.
“She deserves her own dedicated programme where the spotlight will only be on her.
“It’s not like she desperately needs the publicity but you can’t turn your nose up at that level of exposure.”
It seems the Skyfall singer is just rolling in opportunities at the moment. With her album rumoured to be out in November (15), she's now thought to have been offered £750,000 per night to perform in Las Vegas.
Promoters are apparently certain they can sell tickets to her shows for at least £100 apiece.
“This is the tour that every promoter wants to bag - but at the moment nobody has had any success, despite offers of tens of millions of pounds,” a source told Britain's Sunday People publication. “It’s one of those occasions where it isn’t about the money.”
Instead, Adele apparently wants to stay home with her partner Simon Konecki and their son Angelo, who turns three next month (Oct15). She's also keen to rest after surgery on her vocal cords in 2011.
“The album may be coming out, but at this moment in time there are absolutely no concrete plans for a tour,” the insider noted. "Firstly it’s understood she is not keen to travel around the world with her son as she adores her quiet family life away from fame and fortune.
“Also ever since her throat surgery there has been discussions about how much strain she would have to put her vocal cords under during a lengthy tour."
