Ed Sheeran reportedly shelled out £9 million for his swish new pad in North London.

The 24-year-old The A Team singer is said to be planting roots in the British capital after amassing an estimated net worth of $35 million.

And it seems he is spending his hard earned cash on property, having forked over a tonne of money to secure a four-bedroom converted factory.

“Ed had to pay big money for the house but it’ll be worth it,” a source told UK newspaper The Sun.

“He will be neighbours with some real high movers in business, sport and celebrity, which just shows how far he’s come.”

Ed was allegedly competing with other A-listers for the home, including Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian.

The cool, modern residence boasts a temperature controlled wine cellar that can store up to 1,000 bottles in addition to a recording studio and other impressive features.

It’s claimed he is planning on throwing a lot of fun bashes at the home in the future.

“The house will be the ultimate party pad but also a place of work,” the insider noted.

Ed was virtually homeless while travelling from gig to gig after graduating from music college in 2007.

He went to sleep on the London Underground trains much of the time, calling The Tube his temporary home.

“I spent a week catching up on sleep on Circle Line trains,” he revealed in the book A Visual Journey.

“I’d go out and play a gig, wait until 5am when the Underground opened, sleep on the Circle Line until 12, go to a session, then repeat.

“It wasn’t that bad. It’s not like I was sleeping rough on the cold streets.”
