Bruno Mars will apparently headline the Super Bowl's halftime show.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the NFL were keen to get the performer back to the stage after he played in the same spot in 2014 with a guest performance from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
It would be a huge honour for the 29-year-old, as the 2016 show marks the Super Bowl's 50th anniversary.
His show would surely go down well with the crowds, as in 2014 he became the most-watched halftime act. However, his crown was stolen by pop queen Katy Perry this year, who headlined alongside Missy Elliot and Lenny Kravitz.
Bruno's track Uptown Funk with Mark Ronson has really thrust him into the limelight once again, meaning he could snatch the title back off Katy if he really does play in 2016.
Reps for Bruno and the NFL have not commented on the speculation and the singer has remained quiet on Twitter.
The musician would surely be ecstatic to perform again after previously expressing his amazement at having been picked in 2014.
"As soon as we got the call I was thinking about ideas and you know, how are we going to pull this off?" he told Ellen DeGeneres after, adding that declining wasn't an option.
"Like how do you say no? 'Nah, nope I'm good.' I know it was early; it's very early in my career. I've only got two albums so I don't have the, like, legacy or anything like that, but, you know, tomorrow's not promised, Ellen, so I had to go for it."
The Super Bowl 50 will take place on February 7 next year.
