Justin Bieber has credited the Hillsong Church in Sydney for helping him settle and find peace.

Bieber visited Sydney in June to attend a Hillsong conference.

In an interview with Kyle and Jackie O on Sydney’s KIIS 1065 this morning Bieber said, “I was out there at that conference. Just to be around that environment, to be around people who are spreading love and hope. Whatever you believe is up to you but that is where I found my peace. It helped”.

One of the little known facts about Justin Bieber is his charity work for the Make-A-Wish foundation. He holds the record for delivering over 250 wishes for children with life threatening illnesses. “I just love it. One of my favourite parts about what I get to do is hang out with kids. With kids, they don’t want anything from me. They just want to have fun and enjoy the moment,” he said.

He also says he understands why Michael Jackson preferred the company of children over adults. “I think there is a lot of the misconception about Michael Jackson. He wanted to be around kids because they were just innocent. They never wanted anything from him. I get that. I don’t know if I believe all the stuff that went on about Michael but that is just my opinion,” he said.

And as for the Kanye For President pledge by Kanye West, “That’s just Kanye being Kanye,” Bieber said. “He is just creative and says what he says in the moment. I don’t know if what he feels is real but its what he felt at the moment so you’ve got to respect it”.
