Demi Lovato is in “no rush” to get married.

The 22-year-old singer has been dating 35-year-old Wilmer Valderrama on and off since 2010.

And despite recent rumours that the pair are engaged, Demi insists she won’t be walking down the aisle any time soon.

"I'm literally turning 23 this week," Demi told E! News at a Samsung event in Hollywood on Wednesday night. "There's no rush. We've been together so long [that] there's no rush."

Regardless of the fact that there’s no ring on her finger as yet, Demi did open up about her hopes for her big day.

And she has been planning for some time to ensure her nuptials are an occasion to remember.

"Every girl does that," Demi said when asked if she had started planning her wedding day. "I was planning my wedding when I was like 10!"

Demi recently opened up about her relationship with Wilmer, admitting she couldn’t have got through her various personal issues without her man standing by her side.

The Cool For Summer singer has been open about her struggles with bulimia, alcohol and drugs in the past. But even when Wilmer was advised by friends to call time on his romance with Demi, he stayed with her.

“We started dating when I turned 18...” Demi told Cosmopolitan magazine. “Right after that, I went to rehab. People told him, 'You should probably leave. She's on a spiral, and you're going to be sucked down with it.' But he was like, 'I'm not leaving. This is somebody I really care about,'" she told Cosmopolitan. "We relate on a lot of levels. I've seen a lot of s**t. S**t people don't know about."
