Bobbi Kristina’s family are concerned after a picture was reportedly taken of her dead body and sold to the media.

TMZ reports that the unnamed media outlet has paid $100,000 for the picture of the 22-year-old’s body lying in her casket ahead of her funeral at the weekend. The image was taken during the viewing which took place the day before the funeral, according to the reports. Precautionary measures had been taken to try and prevent such an incident occurring but it seems someone managed to flout the security.

It is not known who took the photograph, but TMZ previously reported that Bobbi Kristina’s father Bobby Brown and his family were worried that her late mother Whitney Houston’s family might pull a stunt like what has happened, as the same thing occurred at the singer’s funeral back in 2012.

Bobbi Kristina passed away at the end of last month after spending nearly six months in a coma. She had originally been face down and unresponsive in a bathtub at her home on January 31.

Her family gathered for her wake on Friday before her funeral took place the following day on August 1 at the Saint James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia. After the service, Bobbi Kristina’s body was transported to New Jersey, where she will be buried next to her mother in the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.

Her father Bobby spoke of his loss soon after her death was confirmed.

“Krissy was and is an angel. I am completely numb at this time," he said in a statement to E! News. "My family must find a way to live with her in spirit and honour her memory. Our loss is unimaginable."
