Nick Gordon’s mother claims he is in shambles over the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown.

Bobbi Kristina, who is the daughter of singer Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, passed away on July 26 after being in a comatose state for nearly six months.

Nick was romantically engaged with Bobbi Kristina before she died and his mother Michele Gordon has issued a statement on the matter.

"The passing of Bobbi Kristina is devastating to Nick and our family. Nick loved and cared for Krissi deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they've been apart," Michele revealed in a press release to NBC News. "Nick and our family are in mourning, and we ask that you respect our privacy. Our thoughts and prayers are with both the Houstons and the Browns during this difficult time."

Bobbi Kristina was 22 years old when she passed.

On January 31 she was rushed to hospital after being found unresponsive in the bathtub at her home near Atlanta, Georgia. The accident led her to be put on life support by doctors. Bobbi Kristina never regained consciousness and she met her demise at the Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia last Sunday while surrounded by family members.

An initial autopsy report was released Monday by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office, with officials claiming that “an obvious underlying cause of death and no significant injuries were noted” in screenings so far.

Although a police report describes Bobbi’s death as a drowning, apparently a case is being built against Nick as the person who caused her demise.

Bobbi Kristina’s conservators issued a $10 million lawsuit against him in recent weeks, claiming Nick stole her money and was abusive.
