Nick Jonas is still getting used to having no one to pick up his slack.

The singer found fame as part of the Jonas Brothers, alongside his siblings Joe and Kevin. The group split in 2013, just before they were to embark on a tour, citing creative differences as the reason for ending things.

Nick is now enjoying a solo career and appears on TV show Kingdom, although he's still wrapping his head around how things have worked out.

"The schedule is more intense because I can't rely on the person next to me picking up the slack if I'm dragging," he told British magazine Hello!

Nick was the one who raised whether the group should stay together. It was a difficult conversation to have, but all three of them were aware they weren't agreeing on as much as they once had.

Although it was a hard period the lads have pulled through and are now close as a family again.

Since the split Nick has surprised with some of his decisions, such as posing for a photoshoot in just his underwear. That was a shock as the boys used to wear purity rings as they didn't agree in sex before marriage, but for Nick surprising people is all part of the fun.

"The squeaky-clean image makes growing up more interesting to people because they don't expect it from you," he said, before touching on his ex-girlfriend Miley Cyrus, who has also overhauled her image over the years.

"We run in different circles now. She's doing her thing and I'm happy for her," he said. "I have no regrets about my dating life. It happens for a reason and got me where I am today."
