Bobby Brown's state of mind is "not good", according to his bandmate.

Earlier this week the singer's 22-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina was moved to a hospice in Atlanta. She has been unconscious and on life support since she was found face down and unresponsive in a bath tub at her home in the city at the end of January.

Her family released a statement explaining that her health has continued to deteriorate, saying she is now "in God's hands".

Bobby - who has Bobbi Kristina with late star Whitney Houston - is struggling to come to terms with what has happened, according to his New Edition bandmate Johnny Gill.

"State of mind? In a nutshell, not good. Not good," he told ET. "We just had a conversation yesterday. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy."

Shortly after the announcement about Bobbi Kristina's care was made news broke that a lawsuit had been filed against her boyfriend Nick Gordon. He has been at the centre of a lot of speculation as he was raised as a son by Whitney - who wasn't his biological mother - and then entered into a romantic relationship with Bobbi Kristina after the superstar's death in 2012. They claimed they were married, but that was debunked by Bobby after his daughter's accident.

The documents were filed by Bobbi Kristina's court-appointed conservator Bedelia Hargrove and accuse Nick of causing "substantial bodily harm" to her. According to People magazine, he is alleged to have controlled her, stopped her seeing people, manipulated her finances and beaten her. It is alleged that she missed a meeting with a friend to talk about her fears related to Nick on January 31, but instead became caught up in an argument with him and was then found "face down in a bathtub, with her mouth swollen and another tooth knocked out". Nick is yet to respond to the allegations, although he has tweeted that he is praying for her and hopes she will never give up her fight to get healthy.

"We at the end of the day have to sit still until everything is completed to be able to make a full assessment of how to deal and what happens next," Johnny said of the $40 million lawsuit. "But it's a lot, a lot that's going on. A lot."

Johnny wouldn't discuss whether Bobby had any worries about what was going on with his daughter. He'd only speak about their relationship as a whole, admitting they weren't always close but had been trying to work things out for some time.

"It was no secret that Bobby and Bobbi Kris had an estranged relationship for a certain period of time," he said. "One Father's Day, it was a few years back, she called and he was just so over the top and elated that she had reached out. They started from that point to rebuild that part of their relationship."

ET reports that Bobbi Kristina is no longer being medicated and her organs are failing.
