The return of Lianne La Havas gathers pace ahead of the July 31st release of her eagerly anticipated second album ‘Blood’.

The album’s first single ‘Unstoppable’ has received substantial support from Radio 1, Radio 2 and 6 Music, and she also performed the track during a stunning appearance on ‘Later… With Jools Holland’.

With a set at Glastonbury coming up at the weekend, Lianne La Havas will further preview the release of ‘Blood’ with the single ‘What You Don’t Do’ which impacts on August 7th.

The song was produced by Aqualung’s Matt Hales, who also produced Lianne’s Top 5 debut album ‘Is Your Love Big Enough?’ which sold 200,000 copies and won Album of the Year at iTunes as well as Barclaycard Mercury Prize and Ivor Novello Best Album nominations.

The accompanying video is the first music promo from the acclaimed creative team Leila & Damien de Blinkk who have built a stellar reputation and a succession of awards for their work.

‘Blood’ is an album that was inspired by Lianne’s family heritage, which is part Jamaican and part Greek. Once touring for her debut album came to a close, she headed to Jamaica with her mother for a holiday which evolved into an experience of self-discovery. Lianne enjoyed emotional reunions with long-lost relatives; embraced Kingston’s clubs; and even jammed in front of her family for the first time during a session with legendary dancehall / reggae producer Stephen McGregor.

Lianne La Havas commenced the summer with an international selection of intimate album launch shows. The Guardian’s review of her gig at the Wilton’s Music Hall in London concluded, “This is a singer of delicacy and poise.” Her summer touring plans continue with major festivals including Glastonbury, Latitude, Bestival and Mumford & Sons’ Gentlemen of the Road.
