Rita Ora is reportedly entering a “new phase” with her boyfriend Richard Hilfiger.
The 24-year-old British singer began dating the 25-year-old son of fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger last year.
And it’s claimed they are now making plans to expand their lives together.
“Richard is now in a new phase of his life with Rita,” a source told UK newspaper The Mirror.
“She adores him. She has a place of her own, but they are thinking about looking for somewhere for both of them.
“Things are going well for Richard and he will undoubtedly be spending the rest of the year in London.”
Richard, also known as Ricky Hil, was convicted for possession of marijuana with intent to sell in 2010 after Los Angeles police discovered a generous amount of weed in his car. His $20,000 bail was posted a day after the arrest and he escaped a jail sentence for the crime, being sent to rehab instead.
Although he is personified as somewhat of a hooligan, Richard supposedly feels happy and whole while spending time with Rita.
“He was very much was a bit of a bad boy. He had his issues, but when he went to rehab he decided it was time to turn his life around,” the insider detailed.
“He knew he could have gone to prison and it wasn’t an easy time for him or his family.
“It was a worry for everyone. Now he is really happy with Rita.”
Simon Cowell recently confirmed Rita will be a judge on the forthcoming season of The X Factor UK.
Apparently it’s likely Richard will join his love on the set of the TV singing competition.
“He is very much looking forward to being at his girlfriend’s side as she takes her new role on the X Factor,” the source said. “Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s husband spends a lot of time with her at auditions and Rich is expected to do the same.”
