Iggy Azalea says an Australian wedding isn't "a possibility".

The rapper, who hails from Down Under, announced her engagement to American professional basketball player Nick Young at the beginning of this month.

While she's proud of her roots, the 25-year-old says she won't be returning home to tie the knot.

"He's got a large family and mine is quite small so it's easier to shift them all over here," she explained to host Richard Wilkins on Australia's The Today Show.

"I did think of it, it would be nice to have a wedding in Australia [but] it's not a possibility."

However, she added that an Aussie honeymoon might be on the cards.

Either way, Iggy and her beau will be heading to her home country to celebrate the 100th anniversary of clothing label Bonds, for which she is brand ambassador.

While she's there, the star plans to give her fiancé a tour.

"I'm actually going to go back to Mullumbimby when I come and visit for this Bonds 100 thing later in the year," she revealed.

"So I'm going to drag [Nick] back to the old digs, show him around."

Iggy was born in Sydney but spent most of her childhood in Mullumbimby.

The star has a lot of time to spend with Nick, as she recently revealed she's cancelled her upcoming tour.

“I've had a different creative change of heart,” she told Seventeen magazine. “I want to start totally anew, and if I stayed on my tour, that would mean I wouldn't even be able to start working on that until after Christmas.”
