It has been confirmed that Asif Kapadia’s AMY will receive a special screening at this summer’s Glastonbury Festival on Thursday June 25.

The highly-anticipated documentary about the late Amy Winehouse will screen as this year’s Guardian Presents film on the William’s Green stage at Glastonbury and will be preceded by a Q&A with BAFTA-winning filmmaker and AMY editor Chris King and video message from director Asif Kapadia. The Q&A is set to begin at 2.20pm followed by a screening of the film beginning at 2.45pm.

AMY received its world premiere at Cannes Film Festival earlier this month where it received huge critical praise, including 5 star reviews from The Guardian, The Times, The Evening Standard and The Independent. The UK premiere will take place at Edinburgh International Film Festival on June 18.

Directed by Asif Kapadia (Senna, The Warrior) and produced by James Gay-Rees (Senna, Exit Through The Gift Shop) through On The Corner Films, AMY is released in the UK by Altitude Film Distribution.
