After returning to the charts with his new single ‘Beautiful Me’ which is now approaching 3 million views at YouTube, the irrepresible DAPPY continues a fresh new chapter in his career with the release of the new single ‘100’ on June 28th on All Around The World.
Produced by Mac & Phil (Naughty Boy, Emeli Sandé) and co-produced by Nathan Retro (Wiley, Katy B), ‘100’ builds upon the new sound that Dappy first presented with ‘Beautiful Me’. Again self-written, ‘100’ captures a singer-songwriter utterly at ease with an increasingly mature style. Reflective and romantic, the song’s widescreen atmospherics soar with heightening power as Dappy’s vocals build with a strength born from heartfelt passion rather than sheer attitude.
"The most important lesson I have learnt is to trust the right people,” said Dappy. “We constantly go through trials and tribulations in life, and when you finally realise that certain people around you are genuine, you have to show them your gratitude and loyalty back. That's the message behind the record."
Both ‘100’ and ‘Beautiful Me’ showcase the latest element of an already hugely successful career for Dappy. Born in Greece and raised in England, Dappy’s career already encompasses a catalogue of major accomplishments, including a #1 solo single ‘No Regrets’ and the #2 follow-up ‘Rock Star’; two hit features with Tinchy Stryder’s chart-topper ‘Number 1’ (alongside N-Dubz) and also with the #5 hit ‘Spaceship’; plus a further three Top 10 singles with N-Dubz. His debut solo album ‘Bad Intentions’ crashed into the Top 10, as did N-Dubz’s final two albums.
In total, Dappy has sold over 5 million records and completed seven UK headline tours - his debut solo tour called at sold-out arenas all over the country and included a triumphant homecoming gig at The O2 in London.
Dappy has just announced his first headline tour since 2011. The Appreciation Tour includes a London date at the O2 Academy Islington. He’s set to play the following shows:
