Mariah Carey has passed her vocal talents on to her children.

The 46-year-old singer is mother to four-year-old twins Moroccan, ‘Roc’ for short, and Monroe with estranged husband Nick Cannon.

But Mariah says that while the pair are already displaying their musical skills, she is not keen on becoming a pushy “stage mom”.

“My daughter loves to sing and Roc now loves to sing. They want to come up … and sing, especially Monroe,” Mariah said during an interview on Live with Kelly and Michael on Friday.

“I don’t want to be a stage mother like, ‘Get on stage, sweetie, you got to sing.’ But I don’t want to keep her from it [either].”

Mariah’s interview took place at Disneyland, where she performed a selection of tracks for an intimate audience.

Looking stunning in a plunging pink dress, Mariah said Moroccan and Monroe were definitely enjoying the perks that come with having a superstar mother at the theme park.

“The babies can’t wait to get on the rides,” she said. “They’re super excited.”

Mariah’s love for Disney started at a very young age. But the star admits while she longed for nothing more than frequent visits to the ‘Happiest Place on Earth’, she was prevented from doing so by budgetary restraints.

Now that money is no issue, Mariah makes the most of being able to visit Disneyland whenever her schedule allows.
“I’ve been loving Disney forever — since I first came here — because when I was little, I didn’t have the money to come to Disney so I had to make up for it over the years,” Mariah said.

“I just want my children to have everything that I never had, [but] now they want everything and more!”
