Rolling Stones 'Satisfaction' 50th anniversary vinyl single

The Rolling Stones' signature tune classic, (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, will be reissued as a 12 inch vinyl single to mark its 50th anniversary in June.

Satisfaction was originally released on June 8, 1965 and gave The Stones their first American number one record. It reached number one on the Record Word chart on July 3 replacing The Byrds Mr Tambourine Man and number one the following week on Billboard and Cashbox knocking off I Can’t Help Myself by The Four Tops.

The b-side to the record was The Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man, a stab at the American record industry at the time. The song was about George Sherlock, an employee of London Records at the time, who accompanied the group on their first U.S. tour.
