Bobbi Kristina Brown’s family reportedly don’t know what to do about her medical condition.
The 22-year-old daughter of the late Whitney Houston and her ex-husband Bobby Brown was found facedown in a bathtub at her home on January 31, and has been in a medically induced coma for the past 10 weeks.
There have been various reports that Bobbi’s family were considering turning off her life support due to lack of response from her.
However, a friend of the family told People magazine they have no intention of doing so, and will be giving Bobbi the chance she “deserves” to survive.
“You have to put yourself in Bobby's position," the source noted. "If there was a one per cent chance that she was in there, wouldn't you wait? Your daughter would deserve that."
The family have allegedly attempted once before to bring Bobbi out of her coma, but the process resulted in her having violent seizures.
And the source says they are now at a loss as to how to proceed.
"It's on our mind, what we should do," the source detailed. "We don't know the answer."
Despite the lack of response from Bobbi, her relatives are still holding out hope for a miracle.
But the insider said they are also concerned about what state Bobbi will be in if she does wake up, and whether the coma will have had any permanent effects on the young star.
"If she's in there somewhere, and I hope to Jesus that she is, what would happen if she woke up? I don't know," the source added. "She hasn't been walking or even sitting up."
It was reported on Thursday that Bobbi’s father Bobby Brown would have to perform several concerts in Australia due to contractual obligations.
However, the source insists Bobby can think of nothing he would like to do less than get back on the stage.
"He doesn't care or want to do it," the insider concluded. "It's more important to him that he spends his time with Krissy. So we'll see what happens."
