Britney Spears is thrilled her sons are able to "relate" to her boyfriend.

The 33-year-old star is smitten with producer Charlie Ebersol, who she began dating around six months ago and has been practically inseparable from ever since.

It isn't just Britney he's won over though, as her little boys Sean Preston, nine, and eight-year-old Jayden James - who she has with her ex-husband Kevin Federline - also love being in his company.

“They relate to him really well and they have fun together. He’s refreshing to be around and really light-hearted," the singer smiled to People magazine. “I’m very blessed."

Britney is currently the happiest she's ever been and despite being busy with her Planet Hollywood residency in Las Vegas, her kids will always come first.

She's a firm and enthusiastic mother, constantly arranging play dates, gymnastic lessons and soccer games for the boys to take part in. But education always remains top.

“Homework is a priority,” she added. “We have a reward system that helps motivate them: if they get so many As, they get one toy a month.”

And there's nothing more rewarding for the blonde musician than seeing her sons grow into "little men". As they get older they're starting to develop and change their personalities, an experience Britney is enjoying watching.

“Preston is very opinionated, very expressive, and if he doesn’t like something, he’s going to tell you,” she grinned. “But he has a huge heart, he’s a good kid and he has manners... Jayden is sweet, very soft-spoken, kinda funny. He’s adorable - a momma’s boy.”

It seems her eldest is also a cheeky one as he recently asked for his allowance to be raised, but Britney isn't so sure about agreeing yet.
