Ludacris has recalled being wooed by “extremely sexy voices” while working as a radio station intern.
The 37-year-old has had a hugely successful career as a singer and actor. But before he hit the big time, he cut his teeth at an Atlanta radio station with some interesting results.
“When you're learning, you work the graveyard shift. That's 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. People call up with extremely sexy voices, saying, ‘Come see me after you get off the air’” he recalled to Elle.com. “This one woman said, ‘I'll leave the door open.’ I was probably 19. I said, Hell yeah, I'm about to try this out. She told me she'd be in the tub, waiting. When I got there, the tub was damn near overflowing.”
However the Runaway Love star didn’t stay long. And Ludacris admits he didn’t make the same mistake again.
“I immediately left! That's one of those times where you learn a lesson,” he laughed. “Just because someone has an extremely sexy voice does not mean they are extremely sexy.”
That doesn’t mean Ludacris led a sedate, tame life after he hit the big time. In fact, when asked by the website what the one thing all his past girlfriends would agree on is, he got straight to the point.
“They would say a factual thing. They would all attest to one thing. And that would be the anatomy,” he grinned. “I call it The Truth. 'Cause you can't handle The Truth!”
However Ludacris has settled down in recent times and married long-term girlfriend Eudoxie Mbouguiengue in between Christmas and New Year last year. The couple are currently expecting their first child together, and Ludacris’ third. And despite his sexy lyrics and stage persona, the star admits he’s a big softy at heart and loves rom-com The Devil Wears Prada.
“I'm dead-ass serious. I love that movie. It's not even so much a chick flick,” he confessed. “It's about leadership and focus. That's one of my favourite movies of all time, honestly. Period.”
