Calvin Harris has split from his girlfriend.
The superstar DJ had been dating model Aarika Wolf for seven months, after meeting on the set of his music video Blame. They've been spotted out together many times, including on holidays, and attended a Grammy Awards after-party together last month.
But apparently they couldn't make things work and they are thought to have gone their separate ways in the run-up to the Brit Awards in February.
"They were both into each other for a long time but it just didn’t work out and they’ll stay friends," an insider told British newspaper The Sun.
“Calvin is always really busy and is constantly travelling around to DJ gigs so he’s happy to be single for a while."
The DJ did attend the British music ceremony though, where he sparked speculation about the nature of his relationship with US singer Taylor Swift. They apparently spent a lot of time together at the event and were pictured deep in conversation.
Adding fuel to the fire, Taylor jetted to Las Vegas over the weekend, where she watched as he performed at the Hakkasan nightclub and was seen busting some moves in the DJ booth.
Calvin has long spoken of his appreciation for the country-turned-pop singer, and last year he admitted the 25-year-old was top of his list of people to collaborate with.
"I’d love to work with Taylor Swift, she’s an amazing songwriter with all that Nashville training," he told HeatWorld.com.
Calvin and Aarika got together in August, not long after his acrimonious split from Rita Ora. The two had been inseparable during their 13-month romance, but parted ways in June last year.
Although neither has spoken about the reasons for the split, it seems things didn't end well because afterwards Calvin stopped Rita from performing their song I Will Never Let You Down at awards shows.
