Selena Gomez thinks her father is the "true definition of a man".
The starlet had a difficult start to last year, cancelling some of her tour, spending time in rehab to deal with emotional issues and navigating her on/off relationship with Justin Bieber.
This year seems to be a new start for the 22-year-old, who took to Twitter today to thank the most important man in her life.
"My papa has always been the man that supported all the women in my life. True definition of a man. #leanintogether (sic)," she wrote on Twitter.
Selena attached a black-and-white snap of herself with her father, sitting on a couch with their arms around each other.
The singer-and-actress is focusing on all the positive things in her life and recently met up with her A-list pals to celebrate singer Camila Cabello's 18th birthday. Among the group were Taylor Swift, Hailee Steinfeld, Sarah Hyland and Jaime King.
Selena and Taylor took to their Instagram accounts, where they shared sweet snaps of the girls celebrating and enjoying birthday cake.
Taylor, 25, has had another special day to fete. The singer is also very close to her father and took to Twitter to wish him happy birthday.
"Happy Birthday, Dad. Thanks for all the unconditional love, sarcastic comments, and interesting Christmas presents. (sic)" she wrote.
The blonde star added a picture of herself and her father, which shows her looking quizzically at a pink plastic flamingo he appears to have gifted her.
