Following the news that blur will release a new album in April and are returning to Hyde Park to play Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park on 20th June, a stellar line up of special guests has just been announced, ahead of the general on sale at 9am today.

Joining blur at Hyde Park will be Metronomy. Formed in 1999, the 4 piece electro pop outfit from Devon have released 4 albums, most recently in 2014 with Love Letters, reaching #7 in the UK charts. Their front man Joseph Mount has remixed a raft of top names in the industry including Gorillaz, Goldfrapp, Kate Nash and Lady Gaga.

Also on the bill on 20th June are The Horrors. Since setting alight the UK music scene in 2005, with their unique blend of garage rock and shoegaze, their debut album Strange House set a trend for things to come, rising in popularity over the past 10 years and culminating in the critically acclaimed Luminous last year.

Jupiter Bokondi is one of Afropop’s shining lights, hailing from Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. He and his band, Okwess International, released their first UK album, Hotel Universe in May 2013. They came to international attention after civil war died down in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2006 and they featured in the documentary Jupiter’s Dance. This led to Jupiter and band joining Africa Express on their acclaimed train tour across mainland Britain as part of London 2012 Festival.

Drenge are an explosive two piece punk/grunge outfit from Derbyshire who started garnering critical acclaim for their intense live sets in 2013, including at the first Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park. Their single ‘Bloodsports’ was one of Zane Lowe’s top 100 hottest records. Second album Undertow is due for release on April 6th this year.

Rodney Smith, aka Roots Manuva will be no stranger to Hyde Park, growing up just south of the river in Stockwell. Signed to legendary label Big Dada, (also home to grime superstar Wiley) his underground anthem Witness (1 Hope) established him on the trip-hop and dub scene, winning a MOBO Award for Best Hip Hop Act in 2000. Roots Manuva has gone on to release 8 albums. Considered one of hip hop’s most erudite lyricists, he has collaborated with U.N.K.L.E, DJ Shadow, Mr Scruff, Jamie Cullum and the aforementioned Metronomy.

And fresh from releasing their 3rd album after a 3 year absence, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis are back on the live scene. Masters of their craft, they know how to get the party started, thrilling crowds with their blend of indie, rock ‘n’ roll and disco, swapping instruments on stage, never failing to convert crowds across the globe.

Completing the line up across three stages are: Teleman, Iris Gold, Fufanu and Sugarmen.
