Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have reportedly discovered a "newfound closeness".
The couple announced their 'conscious uncoupling' last March after ten years of marriage but have remained tight-knit for the sake of their children, Apple and Moses.
Over Valentine's Day weekend the family spent time together in Malibu, where Gwyneth, 42, and 37-year-old Chris were snapped walking arm-in-arm along the beach. After a few tranquil days away together it's thought they've reached a better place ad are closer than ever.
"It ended with Chris and Gwyn drinking wine on the terrace. She was very affectionate during their family day on the beach and stayed by his side with either her arm around him or touching him in some way," a source told British magazine Closer.
"Now Gwyn has told friends that she and Chris have a newfound closeness and it feels like they're starting something new in their friendship. They've decided to hold off finalising their divorce until after the one-year anniversary of their split... but Gwyn can't help but hope Chris will come back to her."
However both stars are rumoured to be involved with other people at the moment too, with Chris romancing Jennifer Lawrence, 24, and Gwyneth apparently dating Glee actor Chord Overstreet, 26.
Jen is said to be unhappy upon seeing the cosy pictures of her beau and his wife by the sea and is tired of going back and forth with Chris. To add to her frustrations she's reportedly keen to make things official with the Coldplay frontman but he has apparently told her he isn't ready, with the Hunger Games actress putting this down to his relationship with Gwyneth.
