The Foo Fighters have been forced to cancel a show in Auckland, New Zealand after an equipment truck was involved in a “serious accident”.

The band was scheduled to do a charity concert on Friday night at Auckland Town Hall; however, a truck that was carrying equipment was involved in an accident, injuring the driver. A posting from Frontier Touring, who was promoting the tour, gave more details:

It is with great regret that we advise that the Foo Fighters charity concert scheduled at the Auckland Town Hall tomorrow night (Friday 20 February, 2015) has been cancelled.

A truck carrying essential band equipment was involved in a serious accident today whilst travelling from Christchurch to Auckland.

Thankfully the driver is expected to be ok.

The specialised equipment on the truck was so badly damaged it cannot be used. Replacement equipment is being flown from Los Angeles to Auckland in time for the Foo Fighters Mt Smart concert on Saturday night. The Auckland Mt Smart show will proceed as scheduled.

Foo Fighters and Frontier’s thoughts are with our crew member for a full recovery. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to ticket buyers.

The Saturday concert at Mt. Smart Stadium in Auckland is still expected to go ahead as planned.
