Dimensions Festival has now announced its exciting line up for its opening concert which will be taking place in the phenomenal 2000-year old Roman amphitheatre in the city of Pula.

The breath-taking venue will create the perfect atmosphere to kick-start the 4 year old festival and will be sound-tracked by three optimal headliners; Four Tret, Little Dragon and Floating Points Live. The opening concert is taking place on August 26th and will be an evening that delivers a truly unique and magical experience, with Boiler Room returning to capture and broadcast the thrill of the night.

Kieran Hebden as Four Tet will provide the night with a profuse library of house tracks, his own works having been inspired by a range of genres including hip-hop, electronica, jazz, grime and folk. His live set promises to be an imposing demonstration of dreamy sampling experimentation and drum loop improvisation.

Eglo Records star talent Floating Points will contribute a collection of new compositions that combine classical instruments with electronically produced sounds. He is one of the most multi-talented producers, best selectors, and arguably most intelligent artists involved in dance music contemporarily. This performance is sure to be on the verge of unique, and certainly unmissable for those fans who have seen him play a live set.

Last one up for the opening night is Little Dragon, who released their fourth album, “Nabuma Rubberband", last year. Diving deeper into the fissure between pop R&B and dance music, the album is a bold release that brings wonderful downtempo atmospherics, yet keeps it rhythmic and compelling in the higher tempos. The bands textural sounds accompanied by Yukimi Nagano’s silky voice and guileless on-stage energy is sure to make magic in the amphitheatre.

Dimensions Festival itself is set at the spectacular Fort Punta Christo, a 19th Century abandoned complex, situated beautifully by the Adriatic Sea and will take place across four days, from August 27th till the 30th. The exciting first round of artists that have been announced for the line up includes Moodymann, Ben Klock, Lil Louis, Mount Kimbie (DJ set), John Talabot, Surgeon, Rodhad, Anthony Parasole, Truncate, Hessle Audio: Ben UFO, Pearson Sound, Pangaea, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Daniel Avery, Horse Meat Disco, Jeremy Underground, DJ Deep and many more to come.
