To celebrate Valentine’s Day, Spotify today releases insights into how its 60 million global users are using music and playlists to prepare for the most romantic day in the Calendar.
Spotify has also created a special Valentine’s ‘Sweet Spot’ playlist generator for you to share with your loved one to identify where your musical tastes are in perfect harmony.
Spotify also reveals that John Legend’s All Of Me – which has more than 260m streams on Spotify - is the top love song in the world, featuring on more ’Love’ playlists than any other song.
As for setting the mood, Spotify’s users have created over 2.5m ‘sex’ playlists on the service. Of these, 56% were created by men, versus 44% by women. The most popular song to feature in ‘sex’ playlists is Intro by The xx, which has almost 80m streams on Spotify.
