Jennifer Lopez is reportedly "worried" about giving her ex a second chance.
The 45-year-old singer split from backing dancer beau Casper Smart last June amid rumours he had been messaging two transsexual models, which he has since denied.
Although she confirmed earlier this month that she's currently single, Jennifer is said to be debating whether to try again with her former boyfriend after everything they've been through. But that's not before she shows him what he's missing.
"Jen can't deny her feelings for Casper but is worried about committing to a relationship," an insider sighed to British magazine Closer. "She felt hurt and humiliated when he was caught up in the sexting scandal [with the models]. She's insisting she's single in public to show him he'll have to work hard to win her back."
The pair have been spotted in close proximity numerous times following their breakup, including at the MTV VMAs last August. And more recently it's thought Casper, 27, whisked Jennifer away to Las Vegas for New Year's, where they addressed their problems.
"Casper took Jen away to Death Valley and spoiled her with intimate dinners and champagne under the stars. They talked at length about their relationship and Casper told her how committed he was, and how much she meant to him," the source added.
They were together for two-and-a-half years before splitting, with their relationship coming after Jennifer's split from ex-husband Marc Anthony. She and Marc have six-year-old twins Max and Emme together and the songstress has often spoken about how difficult the end of her marriage was, admitting there's "no pain like it".
