Rihanna is reportedly making a "conscious effort" to date more stable guys.
The 26-year-old singer has had a turbulent love life over the years, including an on/off relationship with Chris Brown, which included him assaulting her in 2009. She's also enjoyed a romance with Drake.
But most recently Rihanna is thought to be romancing Hollywood bachelor Leonardo DiCaprio after the pair were spotted together on New Year's Eve and several times since then. Reportedly the musician is trying to break her previous dating habits with this move, as well as apparently hoping for something more.
"They've had a flirtation going for years, but nothing happened until December... She keeps falling for bad boys then is devastated when they don't work out," a source told British magazine Look. "She's making a conscious effort to change the type of guy she dates. Rihanna is really close to her family and wants kids one day. She knows she couldn't turn Chris Brown into a father figure, so it wouldn't surprise me if she is looking for a more stable guy."
Leonardo has also had plenty of high-profile relationships in the spotlight and is known for dating models, such as Erin Heatherton, Bar Refaeli and, most recently, Toni Garrn.
However his rumoured relationship with Rihanna could be heating up, and he's said to have introduced her to pals such as Tobey Maguire and even his mother Irmelin.
"Leo has struggled to commit to any woman in the past, but he is at the age where he wants kids," an insider added. "[Leo's mum] loved Rihanna instantly. She told her that she loved her drive and ambition.
"Rihanna's not in a rush to start a family, but wants to lay the groundwork for a family-based relationship up front. Leo appreciated it. He doesn't often get that level of trust from his girlfriends. It's really taken things to the next level."
