Gregory Porter today announced that he has recorded a track with critically acclaimed electronic music duo, Disclosure after being introduced by singer-songwriting chart sensation, Sam Smith.

Gregory confirmed that: “by way of meeting him (Sam Smith) and tweets and stuff like that, I’ve found that he’s a fan of my music – he also mentioned to them (Disclosure) that they should work with me and that’s how that happened.”*

Gregory also hinted at future plans to record with Sam Smith, he said: “if the stars do align (we will collaborate).”*

Gregory made his first move into the world of electronic music last year when his Grammy award winning track ‘Liquid Spirit’ was given a funk infused remix by popular French remixer/producer 20syl. 20syl’s previous remixes have featured artists including: ScHoolboy Q and Kendrick Lamar. The track received critical support from music blogs including: Genre Confused, Indie Shuffle and Hillydilly and continues to build momentum online. Listen to the remix here: http://vevo.ly/9p4pEx

Gregory is clearly in the mood for collaboration, as he also recently partnered with British Jazz superstar, Laura Mvula on a new version of his ‘Water Under Bridges’, which features on the release of an expanded deluxe edition of his classic album, ‘Liquid Spirit’ released this week.
