Stevie Nicks admits she has taken “thousands of ridiculously unimportant selfies”.

The 66-year-old Fleetwood Mac legend carries a digital camera with her at all times.

And to date, she has amassed an enormous amount of self-portraits on the device.

“Nothing compares to the old Polaroids, but I always have my Canon digital camera. It’s scratched to death!” she smiled to Us Weekly magazine. “I have thousands and thousands of ridiculously unimportant selfies that I took while trying to learn to be a photographer. I might actually give in and get an iPhone, though. Not to use as a phone, I just need a better picture-taker.”

Stevie doesn’t use a smartphone to take pictures right now because she still hasn’t purchased one for herself.

The Gypsy songstress utilises her trusty old cell phone only in times of distress.

“I’m super old-school. I have a red Nokia flip phone for emergencies,” she detailed. “I call it the ‘fire phone’ because I had to be evacuated from the Latigo Canyon Fire in Malibu a few years back. I was alone and terrified, so I thought, okay, I need to get an emergency little cell. Otherwise, I’ll only talk on the phone if I’m near a landline and really have the time.”

Stevie is one of the most revered musicians in modern times, having sold millions of records internationally throughout her over four-decade long career.

The singer ensures she jots down every flash of inspiration.

“I always have pens on hand, because I write everything down: songs, poems, everything,” Stevie said.
