Chris Martin supposedly never broke up with Jennifer Lawrence.
Rumours first surfaced The Coldplay frontman and the two-time Oscar winner were dating in the latter part of last year, with speculation rife they split in October. But after being photographed together having dinner at the end of December, it has now been claimed the couple never parted ways in the first place.
“[They’ve] been together the whole time. Neither of them wanted to be a public couple so quickly,” an insider told Us Weekly magazine. “So they told people they were broken up while they continued to build a relationship.”
The father-of-two has been super sneaky in getting the romance back on the down low. According to another source, the singer has found a way to visit Jennifer’s home unnoticed.
“Chris spends the night at her house when he’s in L.A. and they have a system for him to come and go without anyone knowing,” they said.
In keeping with their relaxed approach, Chris hasn’t felt the need to introduce the Hunger Games star to his former spouse, Gwyneth Paltrow.
The Sky Full of Stars performer was married to the Iron Man actress for ten years before splitting in 2014.
“Chris hasn’t wanted them to meet yet,” the insider added. “Gwyneth and Chris are co-parenting without Jen involved for now.”
But according to the 42-year-old, she wouldn’t be against meeting her former spouse’s new love interest.
“Who says I don't approve of Jennifer Lawrence?” she asked during an appearance on Howard Stern’s radio show. “I respect [Chris] as the father of my children…It's his decision…He wouldn't be with someone who isn't great."
